York Attractions
York has something for all ages, throughout the year. If history is your ‘thing’ then you can experience life as it really was in a Viking village 1,000 years ago at the Jorvik Centre or explore the social history of the city at the fascinating Castle Museum.
Wonderful views of York are to be had at the top of Clifford’s Tower or The Minster, one of Europe’s most beautiful Gothic Cathedrals. There is also the National Railway Museum for train enthusiasts and The Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington. Or if you like shopping then check out The Designer Outlet on the outskirts of the city. Even if you decide to just wander around the beautiful cobbled streets it’s always a special experience.
